Test Submission Requirements

North Carolina A&T State University is test-optional for first-year applicants with a weighted high school GPA of 2.8 or higher for 2026-27. Students at or above that GPA may apply without SAT or ACT scores; applicants below 2.8 must submit scores (ACT 17 or SAT 930). North Carolina A&T strongly recommends sending scores for course placement, especially in math-heavy majors, even when they are not required for admission. Official scores should come from the testing agency.
