Manhattan College, established in 1853, is a private Roman Catholic liberal arts college situated in the Riverdale neighborhood of the Bronx, New York City, just a short subway ride from Manhattan's vibrant urban environment. Reflecting its Lasallian Catholic heritage, the institution offers a broad spectrum of undergraduate programs with engineering, education, and business being particularly noteworthy. The college spans a suburban campus distinguished by Gothic architecture, and provides residential facilities to accommodate a significant portion of its student body. Known for being selective in its admissions process, Manhattan College also hosts a range of graduate programs. Despite a moderate-sized student population, the college does not have a widely recognized athletic program but competes in Division I as the Jaspers and Lady Jaspers.

Manhattan College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  3,342 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 233 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $44,100 plus fees of $4,558. Manhattan College is ranked 170 nationally in the CollegeSimply.com 2024 U.S. Colleges Ranking.
