Hood College occupies a 50-acre suburban campus in Frederick, Maryland, situated approximately 50 miles from both Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The institution, founded in 1893 as a women's college by the Reformed Church of the United States, became fully coeducational in 2003 and maintains its historic limestone buildings arranged around a central quadrangle.
