The University of Pittsburgh-Pittsburgh Campus (commonly known as Pitt) is a public research university situated in the urban neighborhood of Oakland, within the city limits of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Known for its notable gothic architecture, the university provides a distinctive backdrop for a rigorous academic experience. Founded in 1787, Pitt has evolved into a comprehensive institution offering a wide array of bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs across various fields, with particular renown in medicine, business, and engineering.
