The University at Buffalo (UB), part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, is a public research university established in 1846 and located in Buffalo, New York, within close proximity to the Canadian border and Niagara Falls. Spanning three campuses, North, South, and Downtown, the university is noted for its distinctive mix of contemporary and historic architectural designs, including the iconic brutalist-style Furnas Hall.
