Marymount Manhattan College (MMC) is a private liberal arts college located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. Situated in one of the city's most prestigious and vibrant neighborhoods, the college provides students with an urban campus environment marked by a notable modern aesthetic, given the absence of traditional collegiate Gothic architecture. Founded in 1936 by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary as a two-year women's college, MMC evolved into a four-year, coeducational institution. The college is known for its strong programs in the performing arts, communication, and liberal arts, catering to a distinct student body interested in both artistic and academic pursuits. With moderately selective admissions, MMC attracts a diverse range of applicants interested in its personalized approach to education and proximity to the cultural experiences of New York City. On-campus housing is available, offering students a residential experience within the bustling context of the city.

In the most recent statistical year 7,636 prospective students applied, and 5,505 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 423 enrolled in the school.  1,404 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 204 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $36,928 plus fees of $1,790. MMC is ranked 461 nationally in the CollegeSimply.com 2024 U.S. Colleges Ranking.
