Iona College, located in suburban New Rochelle approximately 20 miles north of New York City, is a private Catholic institution founded by the Christian Brothers in 1940. The 45-acre campus combines traditional stone buildings with modern academic facilities in a residential setting accessible by public transportation to Manhattan. The college maintains selective undergraduate admission standards and is organized into two main academic units: the School of Arts & Science and the LaPenta School of Business, with particularly strong programs in business administration, mass communication, and education.
