Founded in 1797, Hartwick College is a private liberal arts and sciences college located in Oneonta, New York, nestled within the Susquehanna River valley. Despite its serene, 425-acre hilltop campus with rural surroundings, Hartwick remains within easy reach of the state capital, Albany, approximately one and a half hours away by road. Hartwick College is characterized by its historically rich stone architecture, offering students a blend of traditional and modern facilities, including on-campus housing options for all undergraduates. Academically, the institution is known for its strong programs in nursing, business administration, and biology, among others.
