The University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) is a private Catholic institution located in northwest Detroit, Michigan, operating across three campuses in the metropolitan area. Founded in 1877 by the Jesuits as Detroit College, the university acquired its current identity after merging with Mercy College of Detroit in 1990.
