Clark Atlanta University (CAU) is a private, historically Black university located in Atlanta, Georgia. Established in 1988 as a result of the consolidation of Atlanta University (founded in 1865) and Clark College (founded in 1869), CAU is part of the Atlanta University Center Consortium and is situated in a bustling urban environment, providing access to a multitude of cultural, professional, and recreational opportunities. Known for a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, the university notably houses prominent schools of Business Administration, Arts and Sciences, Education, and Social Work. With a moderately selective admissions process, Clark Atlanta attracts a diverse student body invested in academic achievement. While the campus is home to traditional and suite-style residence halls accommodating a significant portion of the student population, excellence in academics is supported through various research and innovation initiatives.
