A F is the lowest grade on the U.S. high school and college grading scale ranging from A+ to F. A letter F means unsatisfactory performance in a class. A grade of F is a failing grade.
The percent value for an F is 59 or lower. This means that the student answered 59 or lower percent of the questions correctly on tests or earned 59 or lower percent of points on assignments. The F letter grade range extends from 59% to 0%.
The GPA scale value for an F is a 0.0 grade average. 0.0 grade points are assigned to classes when calculating GPA's using the unweighted 4.0 scale. Any GPA higher or equal to zero and lower than 0.7 is considered an F average.
With a F grade average there are not many selective, four year colleges colleges you can apply to and hope to be accepted. You are better off concentrating on colleges with open admissions or two year community colleges.
