Test Submission Requirements

Virginia Tech is test-optional for first-year applicants entering through Fall 2028. SAT or ACT scores are not required, and choosing not to include them will not affect your admission decision. On the application you select whether scores should be reviewed. Students who want scores considered report them on the STARS Record. Virginia Tech does not consider the Writing section of either test. The test-optional policy applies to all majors.
