Whitworth University, founded in 1890, is a private liberal arts institution situated on a 200-acre campus in Spokane, Washington, approximately 10 miles from the city center. The university is distinguished by its picturesque pine-covered campus known for its Tudor-Gothic architecture. Whitworth offers undergraduate and graduate programs across more than 100 fields of study, highlighting its strengths in business management, education, and health sciences. With a moderate level of application selectivity, the university provides a rigorous academic environment. Residential life is emphasized with a vast majority of students living in the university's housing options, which includes traditional dormitories and theme houses.
