Test Submission Requirements

The University of Texas at Arlington is test-optional for first-year applicants for 2026-27, and SAT and ACT scores are not required for an admission decision. Students with an unweighted GPA of 3.25 or higher, or in the top quartile of their class, can meet guaranteed admission without scores; others who apply without scores are reviewed on high school records, and those who miss guaranteed-admission criteria go through holistic review. If scores are submitted, UTA combines the highest SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math scores and uses the ACT composite. SAT Essay is not required.
