York College of Pennsylvania, located in York, Pennsylvania, provides a suburban campus atmosphere within a close proximity to the urban center of Harrisburg. Established in 1787, this private college has evolved from a classical academy to a well-regarded institution offering more than 50 baccalaureate majors. While the college demonstrates a moderate level of selectivity in its admissions process, it does cater to a variety of academic interests with notably strong programs in business, nursing, and engineering. The campus architecture blends traditional and modern styles, and the institution places an emphasis on providing student housing options, including both dormitory and apartment-style living arrangements for undergraduates. York College does not emphasize athletics as a core tenet of their identity, focusing instead on an academic and practical education experience for its students.

In the most recent statistical year 4,529 prospective students applied, and 4,330 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 749 enrolled in the school.  3,034 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 622 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $21,070 plus fees of $2,258. YCP is ranked 526 nationally in the CollegeSimply.com 2024 U.S. Colleges Ranking.
