The University of Michigan-Flint (UM-Flint) is a public university located in Flint, Michigan, roughly an hour's drive from Detroit. Established in 1956, this institution offers a wide array of undergraduate and graduate programs across its various colleges and schools, including the notably strong College of Health Sciences and School of Management. Reflecting an urban campus setting, UM-Flint contributes to Flint's downtown community, integrating modern facilities and residence halls that provide on-campus living for students.
