Founded in 1827, Hanover College is a private liberal arts institution situated on 650 acres of woodland along the Ohio River in Hanover, Indiana. The college boasts a scenic campus noted for its Classic and Gothic Revival architecture. Approximately 30 miles from Louisville, Kentucky, Hanover provides a picturesque environment conducive to academic pursuits. It offers a range of undergraduate programs, with notable strength in the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Hanover has an inclusive admissions policy that evaluates candidates holistically. The majority of students live on campus in residence halls, which facilitates a close-knit community experience. While Hanover College does not fall into the category of colleges with high-profile athletic programs, it does field teams in various sports, known as the Panthers, which compete in the NCAA Division III Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
