Georgia Southern University is located in Statesboro, Georgia, approximately 50 miles northwest of Savannah. The main campus spans over 900 acres characterized by Georgian-style architecture and expansive green spaces dotted with live oak trees. Originally established in 1906 as a land-grant institution focused on agricultural and mechanical education, Georgia Southern has evolved into a comprehensive public research university.
