Columbus State University is a public institution established in 1958, nestled in the urban environment of Columbus, Georgia, approximately 100 miles southwest of Atlanta. The university occupies two primary campuses - the original main campus in midtown Columbus, and a second, more recent addition, the RiverPark campus in the city?s downtown area, known for its modern architecture and facilities blending into the historic riverfront. Columbus State offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, with a particular emphasis on business, education, and the arts. The Schwob School of Music and the CSU Department of Art are notable highlights of its academic offerings, providing dynamic programs and engaging with the community through the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts. Though Columbus State University has a more open application process, competition can vary based on the program. On-campus living is available to students, offering a blend of traditional residence halls and apartment-style accommodations.
