Davis & Elkins College is a private liberal arts college located in Elkins, West Virginia, a small city nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains approximately 2.5 hours from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1904, the college is named after Senators Henry G. Davis and Stephen B. Elkins and is situated on a picturesque campus with notable historic structures such as Halliehurst and Graceland, both former summer mansions of its namesakes. The institution is regionally known for its diverse academic offerings, including popular programs in nursing, business, and liberal arts. With an atmosphere that combines rural tranquility and traditional collegiate architecture, the college provides a close-knit community on a campus featuring both residence halls and apartment-style living options for students. Davis & Elkins maintains a selective admissions policy, seeking students who demonstrate potential for success in its varied undergraduate programs.
