Waynesburg University, located in the rural southwestern Pennsylvania town of Waynesburg, sits approximately 50 miles south of Pittsburgh. The private, Christian liberal arts institution, affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA), operates from a 70-acre main campus featuring a mix of historic and modern buildings centered around a traditional quad. Founded in 1849, Waynesburg maintains its historical commitment to combining academic excellence with Christian faith while offering undergraduate programs across more than 70 academic concentrations, with particular strengths in nursing, business, criminal justice, and education. The university requires all traditional undergraduate students to live on campus for their first three years, housing them in six residential facilities, and maintains NCAA Division III athletic programs competing in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.
