Shenandoah University is located in Winchester, Virginia, situated in the northern Shenandoah Valley approximately 70 miles west of Washington, D.C. The main campus spans 129 acres and features a mix of historic and modern buildings, including the Ohrstrom-Bryant Theatre and the Health & Life Sciences Building. Founded in 1875 as Shenandoah Seminary in Dayton, Virginia, the institution moved to Winchester in 1960 and achieved university status in 1991.
