The private liberal arts institution, which became coeducational in 2017 while maintaining its women's residential college tradition, sits approximately 150 miles southwest of Washington, D.C. Among its academic offerings, Mary Baldwin is known for its health sciences programs, including physical therapy and nursing, as well as its Virginia Women's Institute for Leadership - the only all-female cadet corps in the United States.
