Bridgewater College, founded in 1880 and affiliated with the Church of the Brethren, is a private liberal arts college located in Bridgewater, Virginia. Set in the Shenandoah Valley, it is approximately two hours from Washington, D.C., and offers a picturesque campus known for its historic Georgian architecture. Bridgewater provides a variety of undergraduate degree programs, with strong emphasis on liberal arts, sciences, and professional studies. Known for a moderately selective admissions process, the institution has a diverse range of academic offerings with popular majors that include business administration, health sciences, and psychology. On-campus housing is available, with a variety of living options to accommodate the majority of its student body. Although Bridgewater College is not primarily recognized for its athletic programs, it does offer a range of sports and competes in NCAA Division III as the Eagles.
