The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) is located in downtown Chattanooga, nestled against Lookout Mountain in southeastern Tennessee. The 140-acre urban campus combines modern academic facilities with historic buildings dating back to its 1886 founding as Chattanooga University, before joining the University of Tennessee System in 1969.
