Sewanee-The University of the South is a private liberal arts college located atop the Cumberland Plateau in Sewanee, Tennessee, approximately 93 miles southeast of Nashville. Established in 1857 by the Episcopal Church, the University is known for its School of Theology and strong programs in English, History, and Environmental Studies.
