Furman University sits on a 750-acre campus in Greenville, South Carolina, located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and approximately 60 miles from Charlotte, North Carolina. Founded in 1826 as a Baptist institution, Furman now operates as a private liberal arts university with Georgian-style architecture centered around a man-made lake.
