South Carolina State University, established in 1896, is a public historically black university located in Orangeburg, South Carolina. This institution, situated approximately 40 miles southeast of the state capital, Columbia, is characterized by its sprawling campus that offers a traditional collegiate environment. With a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, South Carolina State is notably recognized for its offerings in business, engineering, and education.
