La Roche University, positioned in the suburban setting of McCandless Township, just minutes from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, offers a picturesque campus environment blended with modern urban accessibility. The institution, founded in 1963 by the Sisters of Divine Providence, now embraces a diverse student body and a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, with a distinctive emphasis on liberal arts, professional studies, and global engagement. La Roche maintains a relatively inclusive admissions process. The university is perhaps best recognized for majors in design, management, and health sciences. Accommodation is provided through residential services, which offer on-campus housing options. While La Roche hosts several athletic teams known as the Redhawks, it is not predominantly celebrated for its athletics but rather places a larger focus on its academic and cultural offerings.

In the most recent statistical year 3,222 prospective students applied, and 3,137 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 128 enrolled in the school.  933 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 1,135 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $31,334 plus fees of $950. LRC is ranked 796 nationally in the CollegeSimply.com 2024 U.S. Colleges Ranking.
