Delaware County Community College serves the Philadelphia suburban region from its main campus in Media, Pennsylvania, approximately 13 miles west of downtown Philadelphia. The main campus occupies a suburban setting with modern academic buildings spread across rolling hills, supplemented by additional satellite locations throughout Delaware and Chester counties. Established in 1967 to meet the growing educational needs of Delaware County residents, DCCC has expanded to offer more than 50 career and transfer programs, with notable strength in nursing, allied health programs, and business administration. The college maintains an open-access admission policy typical of community colleges and provides extensive student support services through its Learning Commons and Career and Counseling Center.
