Mid America Christian University

Mid America Christian University (MACU) occupies a suburban campus in southern Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, located approximately 15 minutes from downtown. Established in 1953 as South Texas Bible Institute before relocating to Oklahoma in 1985, MACU operates as a private Christian liberal arts institution affiliated with the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana). The university maintains traditional undergraduate programs alongside adult degree completion and online learning options, with notable offerings in business administration, ministry leadership, and behavioral science. The main campus features modern classroom buildings and residential facilities where many undergraduate students reside, while also serving a substantial population of commuter and online learners. MACU competes in the NAIA's Sooner Athletic Conference, fielding men's and women's athletic teams known as the Evangelicals.
