Eastern Oklahoma State College is located in Wilburton, Oklahoma, a rural community in the foothills of the Sans Bois Mountains approximately 130 miles southeast of Tulsa. Established in 1908 as the School of Mines and Metallurgy, the institution evolved into a comprehensive two-year college serving eastern Oklahoma. The main campus features traditional brick buildings spread across 140 acres, with additional satellite locations in McAlester and Antlers. As a public community college, Eastern Oklahoma State maintains an open admission policy and offers associate degree programs with particular emphasis in agriculture, nursing, and behavioral science. The college provides on-campus housing in several residence halls and competes in NJCAA Division I athletics, primarily known for its baseball program.
