Central State University, located in Wilberforce, Ohio, is a public, historically black university that offers a mixture of liberal arts and career-ready majors. It was established in 1887 and is one of the oldest black-administered institutions of higher education in the nation. Just a short drive from the city of Dayton, the campus sits on a rural expanse encompassing historical buildings with distinctive architectural features. Central State University?s academic portfolio includes notable programs in Business Administration, Education, and Engineering Technology, among others. The university operates with moderate selectivity in its admissions process.
