United Tribes Technical College (UTTC) is a tribally-controlled technical institution located on a 132-acre campus in Bismarck, North Dakota. Founded in 1969, the college occupies the former site of Fort Abraham Lincoln Military Post and serves primarily Native American students while remaining open to all students. UTTC offers certificate programs, associate degrees, and bachelor's degrees with focused programs in areas including criminal justice, business, environmental science, and Native American studies. The campus features family housing units for students with children, a powwow grounds, and cultural centers that support the college's mission of preserving Native American heritage while providing technical education. As one of the longest-operating tribal colleges in the United States, UTTC maintains strong connections with five tribal nations in North Dakota and operates with full accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission.
