All of Wake County has grown too fast and infrastructure is strained. Wake Tech CC is no exception. Too many students spread across too few overworked teachers. Little to zero feedback from many teachers. Students rely on tutoring for input and assistance. Some teachers ridiculously slow to communicate. Some professors really make every effort to help students, they just have too many pupils. When enrolling one can be lead to believe courses are available at their campus, only to find out courses are online only or held at a distant campus. Most everything is online. It's complicated and annoying to navigate. No social life for most students. Heard constant complaints from a multitude of students that it's "isolating and boring", and they feel a lack of support. Many classes are rushed and have 60%-68% failure rate, check online before enrolling. Some programs are great, some awful. There are many high quality community colleges in N.C. Compare them before deciding which to attend in desired field of study is my recommendation. I am transferring after 1 year to a different Community College in NC before going on to 4 year. Community College is a great way to get ahead and save money.
