Livingstone College, located in Salisbury, North Carolina, approximately 45 minutes from the major city of Charlotte, is a private, historically Black college with a rich history dating back to its founding in 1879 by members of the A.M.E. Zion Church. The college's urban campus is characterized by its distinctive red-brick architecture, offering on-campus housing for students. With a curriculum steeply rooted in the liberal arts tradition, Livingstone offers a range of undergraduate degree programs with particular emphasis on areas such as business, education, and the social sciences. While the institution maintains a relatively inclusive admissions policy, it remains committed to academic rigor and personal development. Livingstone College is also a member of NCAA Division II athletics, but only specific sports achievements would be highlighted in the context of notable athletic success.
