Harris-Stowe State University is located in midtown St. Louis, Missouri, operating from a main urban campus alongside two satellite locations in the metropolitan area. Originally established in 1857 as Harris Teachers College, it merged with Stowe Teachers College in 1954, making it one of the oldest historically Black institutions in the Midwest.
