Harris-Stowe State University is located in midtown St. Louis, Missouri, operating from a main urban campus alongside two satellite locations in the metropolitan area. Originally established in 1857 as Harris Teachers College, it merged with Stowe Teachers College in 1954, making it one of the oldest historically Black institutions in the Midwest. The university offers primarily undergraduate programs through four academic colleges, with particular emphasis on teacher education, business, and STEM fields. The campus features modern classroom buildings and residence halls centered around the William L. Clay Sr. Early Childhood Development/Parenting Education Center.
