The University of Mississippi, commonly known as Ole Miss, is a public research institution located in University, Mississippi, roughly an hour's drive south of Memphis, Tennessee. Established in 1848, the university sits on a large campus distinguished by its historic buildings with antebellum architecture. With a broad array of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, Ole Miss is particularly recognized for its strong programs in Business, Accountancy, and Pharmacy.
