Winona State University, established in 1858, is a public institution located in the heart of the picturesque town of Winona, Minnesota, nestled against the Mississippi River and approximately 120 miles southeast of Minneapolis. Renowned for signature buildings embodying the Late Gothic Revival style, the campus exudes a serene, traditional college atmosphere while also providing modern facilities. With a broad spectrum of undergraduate and graduate programs, Winona State is particularly recognized for its offerings in nursing, business, and education. The university maintains a moderately selective admissions process and provides on-campus housing options to foster an integrated living and learning environment.
