The University of St Thomas, Minnesota's largest private university, occupies two main campuses located in St. Paul and Minneapolis, with its primary location set along Summit Avenue in St. Paul's historic district. Founded in 1885 as a Catholic liberal arts institution, the university features a mix of collegiate Gothic and modern architecture across its urban campus.
