The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, located in the bustling urban heart of Minneapolis and stretching into the neighboring city of St. Paul, offers a diverse and comprehensive educational environment. Founded in 1851, this public research institution stands out for its extensive range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, including highly regarded schools of engineering, education, and business. Its large, sprawling campuses, notable for their blend of modern and historic architecture, provide student housing options and foster a vibrant campus life.
