Albion College is a private liberal arts institution situated in the small town of Albion, Michigan, approximately 90 miles west of Detroit and 175 miles east of Chicago. The 225-acre campus features a mix of historic red-brick buildings and modern facilities, centered around a traditional quad in a residential setting. Founded in 1835 by Methodist settlers, Albion College maintains its historic roots while operating as a non-denominational institution today. The college is recognized for its pre-professional programs, particularly in pre-medicine and pre-law, along with strong offerings in economics and management, biology, and its Carl A. Gerstacker Institute for Business and Management. Students are required to live on campus for their first three years, residing in one of the college's residential halls or apartment-style housing complexes, and the institution competes in NCAA Division III athletics as the Britons.
