College of Our Lady of the Elms, commonly known as Elms College, is a private Catholic liberal arts college in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Founded in 1928 by the Sisters of St. Joseph, Elms College sits less than five miles north of Springfield, offering a suburban campus environment. The institution boasts a classic collegiate aesthetic with notable brick architecture and a serene atmosphere on its 50-acre campus. Elms College offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, with nursing, social work, and education being among the most popular majors. Though relatively small, the college has a diverse set of academic offerings that also include accelerated and online programs, catering to traditional and non-traditional students alike. Elms College is characterized by a somewhat selective admissions process, seeking students that fit its academic and values-driven profile. While the college provides on-campus housing options, fostering a residential community amongst its student body, it is not particularly known for its athletic programs.
