Berkshire Community College (BCC), located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is a public, two-year institution founded in 1960 as the first community college in the state. Nestled in the scenic Berkshire Hills, roughly a two-hour drive from Boston, the campus offers a peaceful, rural setting conducive to academic pursuits. BCC extends its reach through satellite facilities including the South County Center in Great Barrington and the workforce training facility in Pittsfield. Committed to providing accessible higher education, the college has an open admissions policy, catering to a diverse student body seeking associate degrees, certificates, and professional development. BCC is known for its nursing program and a variety of career-oriented disciplines.
