Berkshire Community College

Berkshire Community College (BCC) is situated on a 180-acre campus in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, at the heart of the Berkshire Mountains region approximately 135 miles west of Boston. The main campus features modernist architecture typical of its 1960s founding period, when it became the first community college established by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. BCC primarily serves Berkshire County through open enrollment admission and offers associate degrees and certificates across liberal arts, healthcare, business, and environmental programs. The college maintains a secondary location in Great Barrington and provides workforce development programs in partnership with regional employers. Students commute to campus as BCC does not offer on-campus housing, though the institution does provide student services including tutoring centers and a recently renovated library.
