The University of Southern Indiana (USI) is a public institution located on a 1,400-acre campus in Evansville, Indiana, positioned in the southwestern corner of the state near the Kentucky and Illinois borders. Founded in 1965 as a regional campus of Indiana State University, USI became an independent state university in 1985 and features modern academic facilities surrounded by wooded areas and a natural trail system.
