Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU), located in Chicago, Illinois, is a public university first established in 1949, offering a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate degrees. Serving a student population on a 67-acre main campus characterized by a modern architectural style, NEIU provides an urban and culturally vibrant setting that fosters academic opportunities. Although the campus is situated within city limits, it is uniquely surrounded by natural areas, including the North Park Village Nature Center. The university is known for its academic programs in fields such as Business, Education, and Social Work. NEIU holds a moderately selective admissions process. On-campus housing is available to NEIU students, including traditional residence halls and apartment-style living accommodations.
