Elmhurst University, located in the suburban community of Elmhurst, Illinois, sits on a 48-acre campus approximately 16 miles west of downtown Chicago. Founded in 1871 by the United Church of Christ, the institution maintains its historical affiliation while operating as a comprehensive private university.
