Student and Parent Reviews
If you are a student, former student, faculty member or parent, please help guide other prospective students by sharing your personal experiences at this college. What is it really like to go to University of Hawaii at Manoa?
Current Student
For money's worth, I don't think UH Manoa is necessarily a "good" school. Academics, yes, it's great. The professors and labs truly do make the environment less stressful for you; however if you're planning on staying in the dorms, the bathrooms are always dirty, the rooms are very hot (even with a fan), and it does get loud at night regardless of "quiet hours".
Alumnus
They have many academically rigorous programs and the cost to attend is very reasonable for in-state, out-of-state, and international students. Many degrees also qualify for the Western Undergraduate Exchange, making it even more appealing to potential students from the West Coast. My academic experience there was amazing and the people were extremely warm and inviting. It felt like home very quickly and was extremely hard to leave when I graduated.
